Harrison Woodhead

Bio

Harrison Woodhead

Director

Harrison wrote, directed and starred in his first commercial at the wizened age of 8 for “Harry’s Happy Dog Patter”, an intricate contraption he invented to allow you to pet your dog without getting smelly hands.

Since peaking with that masterpiece, Harrison has gone on to direct commercials for lots of people, many of whom have found him funny enough that these days he mostly creates comedy.

Harrison uses his experience as an editor, camera operator, sound recordist, 1st AD and writer to bring a wholistic and hands-on approach to filmmaking. With a positive energy and a strong ethos of collaboration, Harrison believes the best comedy is made when everyone involved is enjoying themselves.

Harrison has also had a long history of working with and for children, in entertainment as well as commercials. He directed the fourth season of Disney Junior’s The Book of Once Upon a Time which took the comedy in a new direction with an all-child cast, and the original series Alphabet Street, also for Disney Junior. He also co-wrote and directed the animated children’s films Malapan and The Way to Teradorah.

When he’s not watching or making pictures Harrison enjoys rock climbing, long walks on the beach and writing about himself in the third person.
