Clockwork Films’ Crying Wolf has been shortlisted at the 2026 New York Festivals Radio Awards in the highly competitive Best Narrative Podcast category – placing the series among the world’s leading audio storytelling.
Shortlisting at the New York Festivals is widely regarded as a significant global achievement, with entries judged by an international Grand Jury and selected from work spanning six continents. With only a limited number of projects recognised in each category, Crying Wolf’s inclusion marks a major milestone for Clockwork Films.
A man framed. A fight to be heard. A system that buried the truth.
Crying Wolf follows the extraordinary true story of Lee Harris, a man wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 90 years in prison after a coerced confession. For years, his voice was silenced by a corrupt system – until now.
Produced by Clockwork Films and iHeartPodcasts, and co-produced with Chalk + Blade, the series is hosted by journalist and author Dax-Devlon Ross. Across 12 episodes (plus bonus content), it peels back the layers of injustice to reveal the human cost of being silenced – each chapter diving deeper into the failures that shaped Harris’s fate, and the long road to truth.
The recognition also reflects the continued rise of Australian-produced audio on the global stage, with multiple local entries featured across this year’s shortlist.
Winners will be announced at the New York Festivals Storytellers Gala on 21 May 2026.
Crying Wolf is available on all major podcast platforms.
