Taking on a 24-hour adventure race like Terra Nova Half is no small feat. But completing it in such challenging conditions and coming in first place is an incredible achievement that showcases Jamie’s and Stephen’s adventurous spirit and tenacity.
For those who aren’t familiar with how this particular race works, let us breakdown Terra Nova 24 for you. It’s a race that makes your average triathlon look like a stroll in the park (or a leisurely swim in a pool, for that matter). This race is not for the faint of heart – it involves trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, and other crazy disciplines, all packed into a non-stop 24-hour adventure. Oh, and did I mention that the course is only revealed to the participants a few hours before the race? Yeah, it’s that kind of race.
And whose crazy and determined enough to parttake in this? Our very own managing director and co-owner Jamie Cohen, alongside with him his friend Stephen Maskiell. But Jamie and Stephen were up for the challenge, and they didn’t disappoint. They completed the race in just 11 hours, covering an impressive 90km. And get this – they finished so fast that even the photographers weren’t ready to snap a shot of them crossing the finish line! Their victory is a true testament to their endurance, teamwork, and sheer determination. Not only did they conquer the grueling course, but they did it faster than anyone expected.

Now that Jamie has had some time off to recover, he’s gearing up for his next marathon – tackling the overwhelming number of emails waiting for him in his inbox.
